The challenge

Our collaboration with the Moodtalk Team has evolved over several years, mirroring the product’s growth trajectory. Initial design challenges centered on creating an intuitive and engaging user experience. As the product matured, our focus shifted to aligning with evolving customer needs and desires. Our current challenge resides in continuously finding ways to improve Moodtalks UI without overwhelming the customer with an entirely new interface each month.

Discovery

During the discovery phase we initiated the process by conducting in-depth user research and client interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of needs, goals, and user pain points. The Moodtalk team's proactive involvement in gathering customer feedback from the early branding stages significantly streamlined the discovery phase.

Design

The design phase encompassed both the design of the brand as well as the redesign of their existing dashboard. The goal was to develop a unique and cohesive brand identity that reflects Moodtalk’s vision and values that also resonates with their customer. We created a few variations, and received active input from the customer-base to achieve a xx, xx and xx result.

The design phase focused on both brand development and dashboard redesign. Our objective was to create a distinctive and unified brand identity that aligned with Moodtalk's vision, values, and customer resonance. Through iterative design and active customer feedback, we achieved xx, xx and results.

The Logo

The two shapes represent the dual aspects of communication- positive and negative. By placing them together, the logo signifies how both types of communication are essential for forming stronger relationships and more productive teams. It reflects the idea that constructive criticism and praise are both necessary for growth and improvement.

The design encapsulates the company’s mission to improve teamwork and collaboration through effective communication. It visually communicates the idea that embracing both positive and negative feedback can lead to stronger, more cohesive teams.

The UI

Clear communication requires a clean interface. With that as our primary focus, we designed the UI with a strong emphasis on simplicity, intuitiveness, and user-friendliness. We incorporated a harmonious blend of calming and vibrant colors, clear typography, and well structured information to enhance user engagement and usability.

Given the platform information density, it was important to segment different types of information into distinctive sections. We organized these info-rich elements into card layouts, making the information easy to digest and interact with. This structure allows users to focus on one piece of information at a time, reducing cognitive load.

Continuous Learning

Over the past two years, through close collaboration with our client, we have continuously refined the Moodtalk platform to enhance their customers' experience. Our ongoing partnership has resulted in an intuitive, engaging, and effective solution that fosters stronger collaboration. This exemplifies our commitment to delivering tailored, user-centric designs that drive real results.

“I love to work with the Funtown team because of their creativity, reliability and how they are as people. I always think twice to recommend Funtown when I get a request from my network for a great creative agency because I'm afraid that they will have less time to work for Moodtalk”
