The Gig
- Position: Senior Frontend Developer
- Type: Full-time, Remote
- Location: Anywhere (South African Nationals Only)
What You'll Do
- Collaborate seamlessly with project managers, designers, and backend devs to turn UI/UX dreams into reality.
- Craft high-quality, reusable, and scalable frontend code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Next, React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Optimize web applications for high-speed performance and seamless user experiences across devices and browsers.
- Conduct code reviews, providing support for junior developers to maintain code quality and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug frontend mysteries, implementing solutions faster than a superhero changes into their costume.
- Stay on the edge of frontend development trends, tools, and technologies, championing their integration into our creative process.
- Collaborate with the backend dev teams to seamlessly integrate frontend interfaces with backend APIs and services.
- Identify and overcome performance bottlenecks in web applications, always on the lookout for ways to make things faster and better.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with a portfolio of web applications.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Others: Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development principles. Proficiency in version control systems like Git and code collaboration tools.
